Ron Guidry came out of nowhere in 1977 throwing 95 mile an hour fastballs and a devastating slider confounding American League batters and helping his team to a World Series appearance. He won 16 games that season and that was only a sign of things to come. He would go on to win 170 in his career with a lifetime ERA of 3.29. In the collar is a white label reading "Guidry 77 1" in blue chain stitch. This denotes player, year, and set number respectively. On the right front tail is the "Wilson" label with the size "40." On the left front breast is the Yankees "NY" logo and on the back is the player number "49." the logo and number are made of blue tackle twill. The jersey shows good game use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
