Darryl Strawberry began his baseball career with the New York Mets and quickly established himself as one of the premier players in the game. Unfortunately, Straw had some "control" problems, but not with the ball. This lot of game used items spans from his early days with the Mets through his present second chance with the Yankees. The helmet is size "7-1/4" and was manufactured by American Baseball Cap and has their label on the inside. Also on the inside is the "Authentic Diamond Collection" label. On the front is Yankee logo and Straw's jersey number "39". The number also appears on the back next the "ABC" and MLB logos. Strawberry's game-used Rawlings bat, model 595A from the 1997 season, is uncracked and shows outstanding game use. The cleats date from his days with the New York Mets and were manufactured by Nike. They are size "11-1/2" and have his old jersey number "18" written on each in marker. The bat comes with a letter from PSA/DNA.
