Soriano became the first second baseman in major league history to hit at least 30 homers and steal at least 30 bases in the same year this past season. Some believe the budding Yankees star has 50-50 potential. He is a great complement to shortstop Derek Jeter. This cracked Alfonso Soriano rookie game-used bat shows evidence of tremendous game use. The grain width is narrow and the back of the barrel is cracked. The barrel is covered with ball, ball stitch, blue ball transfer, black bat rack, and cleat marks. There is a heavy coat of pine tar surrounding the centerbrand and a criss-cross pattern taped handle. Both of these characteristics are Soriano trademarks. Manufacturer: Hillerich & Bradsby, Model Number: C243, Labeling Period: 2000-2001, Length: 34-1/2 in, Weight: 33 oz, Wood: Ash, Finish: Flame-Burned. The bat comes with a letter from PSA/DNA.
