In 2001, Randy led the majors in strikeouts (372) for the fourth consecutive season and seventh time in eight years. He went 21-6, with a league-best 2.49 ERA, and captured his third straight Cy Young Award and fourth overall. This uncracked Randy Johnson game-used bat displays evidence of tremendous game use. The barrel is large with a small handle and regular knob. The grain width is narrow. The barrel is covered with ball, ball stitch, blue ball transfer, cleat, and black bat rack marks. The lower handle has been taped and there is a light coat of pine tar over the tape. Johnson's player number "51" is written on the knob and barrel end. The bat weight ounces have been marked on the knob end. Manufacturer: Rawlings, Model Number: 138JB, Labeling Period: 2001, Length: 34 in, Weight: 32 oz, Wood: Ash, Finish: Flame-Burned. The bat comes with a letter from PSA/DNA.
