To say Lefty Grove was the heart of the Philadelphia Athletics pitching staff would be the understatement of the century. The Hall of Fame southpaw led the A's staff in wins eight years in a row and won 20 or more in seven of those seasons, including a career-high 31 victories in 1931. Offered here are 26 personal checks signed by Grove ranging from 1962-1972. The checks, drawn from Lanaconing, MD and Norwalk, OH, are near-mint and the signatures (Robert M. Grove) grade NM-MT overall. The autographs come with a letter from PSA/DNA.
