Who is the modern day king of the strikeout? Guys like Randy Johnson, Pedro Martinez and Curt Schilling are sure to garner most of the votes, but for more than two decades there was just one man who ruled the mound, Texas-born fireballer Nolan Ryan. Ryan punched out an astounding 5,714 hitters over his record 27-year career, reaching the 3,000 mark against the Cincinnati Reds at Riverfront Stadium on July 4, 1980. This ONL Charles Feeney baseball was used in that game, won by the Reds 8-1, and shows excellent game use. It is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from the Reds organization.
