All the 1962 New York Mets and traveling staff were given blue blazers to be worn on road trips. Hall-of-Famer Jack Lang, the Mets' beat writer, was no exception. On the left breast of this jacket is the Mets skyline emblem. Above the left inside breast pocket is a label with the name "Mr. Lang", below which Lang's signature appears in black marker (7). Also included in this offering is a heavy orange usher jacket worn at Shea Stadium during the same time period. It exhibits the Mets emblem on the left breast as well and was made by Saxony Clothes. The zipper-style jacket grades near-mint.
