This group of four shaving items was owned and used by Ty Cobb. Monogrammed into the ivory-like handle of his straight razor are the initials "T.R.C." The second item is a Russian leather strap used to sharpen the razor that has been engraved "Prop. Of Ty Cobb." The third item is his wood handled shaving brush. The final item is his silver plated, two piece shaving mug with a raised floral pattern bearing the engraving "Tyrus R. Cobb." The quartet is displayed in a 17" x 25" shadowbox that also includes a double photo of the "Georgia Peach." All of these items were originally obtained from the collection of Cobb biographer Al Stump, and a letter from Stump accompanies this lot. These items are in overall excellent condition and were at one time, part of the Barry Halper collection.
