In conversations regarding baseball's grandest old ballparks, the Polo Grounds is sure to be mentioned quickly and often. Those who used to frequent the ballpark, which stood from 1891-1957, still get a twinkle in their eye when recalling fond memories of the New York Giants old stomping grounds. The New York Mets brought baseball back to the Polo Grounds in 1962 and 1963, but alas the ever popular sports venue was torn down in 1964 to make room for housing projects. This very rare double figural seat features the Giants' interlocking NY carefully crafted on either side and "DD 1" can be found on the backing. There is a small crack in the middle slat of this historic chair, which grades VG.
