Tom Seaver was certainly a guiding force in the New York Mets' miracle run to the World Series title in 1969, during which he won 25 games in the regular season and excelled in the playoffs as well. Two years later, though, Seaver had what many consider to be his best season. The talented righty posted a 20-10 mark and struck out 289 batters while posting a league-best and hardly visible 1.76 ERA. "Tom Terrific" is imaged here in this oil on canvas wearing a warmup jacket and a smile and holding a baseball inscribed with his lofty '71 stats. Seaver's signature, in green marker, grades a 6/7 with some light fading. The Robert Simon painting is an incredible likeness of the Hall of Fame ace and grades NM. It is housed in a 25" x 31" wood frame.
