One of the premier artists of our time, Peter Max's work has been featured in over 40 different museums, more than 50 galleries, and countless private collections around the world. Football Hall of Famer Joe Namath is the subject for this particular piece. The 14.5" x 18" mixed media on heavy paper looks like a photograph and it depicts Joe in the center of a bath of vibrant pastel colors. The artist has signed "Max" in his traditional upper right hand corner position. On the reverse of the painting is the copyright "Peter Max 1996" stamp. The piece also has the number "33514" written on the back in pen, presumably a cataloging number.
