This beautiful 10.75" x 10.75" color label entitled "The Derby We Strive to Excel" was placed on top of the original cigar crates produced by the David Dunlop Company during the 1880's and "Copyrighted by David Dunlop. 750." is printed along the bottom border. The label says "Derby" rather than "Kentucky Derby" to elude copyright laws. It is near mint, all-original, and untrimmed with no fading. This is a 120-year-old piece that has completely resisted any signs of aging; with its remarkable condition and brilliant colors, there cannot be a better one extant.
