An original member of the famed "Alabama Gang", Donnie Allison will be best remembered by many racing enthusiasts for his brawl with Cale Yarborough following the 1979 Daytona 500. The Winston Cup legend won over 500 short track races and drove his way to a top 10 finish 115 times. This suit was worn by Allison during the early 1980's, prior to his devastating crash at the 1981 World 600 in Charlotte. Allison's name is stitched in red on the left breast and the suit features advertising patches from Monroe, Broad Wheels and Hinchman. There is also a Nascar Winston Cup Grand National Drivers patch on the right breast. Three patches have been removed from the velcro neck suit, which shows tremendous use and comes with a LOA flawlessly signed and dated in black marker by Allison.
