Rod Gilbert was a consistent scorer during an excellent NHL career with the New York Rangers that lasted over 18 seasons. He blossomed as the right winger on the famous G-A-G Line (Goal-A-Game) with Jean Ratelle and Vic Hadfield. On December 12, 1976, he celebrated his 1,000th game by setting up three New York goals in a 5-2 home-ice win over the Stanley Cup champion Canadiens. The classy winger was elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1982. In the neck of the jersey is the "Cosby" label and adjacent is the size tag, "46." This jersey is a very rare and desirable two-year style. On the front of the jersey is the red/white/blue embroidered New York Rangers emblem. On the back of the shirt is the name "Gilbert" and below this is the player number "7." Both the name and number are made of blue tackle twill. There is an autograph on the lower back of the shirt which rates a 9. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind. The autograph comes with a letter from PSA/DNA.
