Surely destined for Canton, Brett Favre distinguished himself among even the elite NFL quarterbacks by earning three consecutive MVP awards from 1995 to 1997. Favre is the NFL's leading active passer with a 86.8 rating, third all-time behind Steve Young (96.8) and Joe Montana (92.3) and just ahead of Dan Marino (86.4). When it gets cold, Favre is unstoppable with an unblemished 31-0 record and 99.8 quarterback rating at home when game-time temperature is 34 degrees or below; this, of course, is a fantastic quality to have when playing in the frozen tundra that characterizes Green Bay. Favre wore this Green Bay Packers road mesh jersey during the 2000 season. In the neck of the jersey is a white tackle twill patch with "00-52" in black to represent year and size, respectively. On the left front tail is the "Nike" manufacturer's tag with the size "52." A green Nike "swoosh" is embroidered on each of the sleeves and the "NFL" embroidered patch is sewn onto the neck of the jersey. The player number "4" appears on the front, back, and both sleeves in green tackle twill. On the reverse of the jersey is a white nameplate with the player name "Favre" sewn on in green tackle twill. Favre has autographed the jersey three times. The "Brett Favre 4 2000 game worn season" black Sharpie autograph on the left shoulder rates an 8, and the "2000 game used Brett Favre 4" black Sharpie autograph on the back nameplate and "2000 season Brett Favre 4" silver Sharpie autograph on the back number "4" are both near 10s. The jersey's tagging and stitching are consistent with tagging and stitching present on other 2000 Packers road jerseys. The jersey is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Brett Favre and has his matching Brett Favre Authentic hologram attached to the back number "4." It also comes with two photos, one of Favre signing the nameplate and another of him holding up the jersey. The jersey shows game-use with consistent, even wear throughout and fraying on the player name. It appears to have no alterations of any kind, and the autograph comes with a letter from PSA/DNA. In light of this jersey's terrific provenance and nice game wear, it is nearly impossible to imagine a more desirable Favre jersey.
