The 1972 Miami Dolphins are celebrating the 30th anniversary of the first and only undefeated NFL season this year. The Fish steamrolled to 14-0 during the regular season and capped off the unblemished campaign with a 14-7 win over the Redskins in Super Bowl VII. Memorabilia from that 'perfect season' is always in high demand and an item as special as this one is sure to garner quite a bit of attention. Offered here is a rare opportunity to own a 1972 Dolphins World Champions ring. This beauty features the Dolphins logo and "Winning Edge" on one side and an image of the Vince Lombardi Trophy flanked by the Super Bowl score, "17-0" and "Perfect Season" on the other. The ring grades a sharp near mint and originally belonged to Miami Dolphins employee Al Torres, whose last name is carved out above the Dolphins logo. Although duplicate rings are known in the hobby, our consignor, Pat Catello, has assured us that this is Al Torres' original 1972 championship ring. The 14K gold, size 10-1/4 ring has a diamond set in a teal stone at the center, which is surrounded by 16 smaller diamonds. The ring comes with a LOA from Torres and a COA from Catello.
