By now, we have all heard about how Joe Namath guaranteed his underdog New York Jets would defeat the Colts in Super Bowl III. That now legendary guarantee came to fruition when Namath and company pulled out a 16-7 triumph to stun the sports world. Several key players from that contest signed this circa late 1960's Jets team sheet, including Namath and fellow Hall-of-Famer Don Maynard. Also included are: Jim Turner, Babe Parilli, Jim Hudson, Ralph Baker, John Schmitt, Paul Crane, Larry Grantham, John Sample, Jim Richards, Bake Turner, Bill Mathis, Al Atkinson, Randy Rasmussen, Dave Herman, Sam Walton, Rocky Rochester, Emerson Boozer, Curley Johnson, Lee White, Billy Joe, Matt Snell, Jeff Richardson, Winston Hill, John Elliott, Gerry Philbin, Randy Beverly, Earl Christy, Bill Baird, Cornell Gordon, Carl McAdams, Gary Magner, George Sauer, Verlon Biggs, Pete Lammons and head coach Weeb Ewbank. The signatures, in blue marker, are consistent throughout and grade a 7 overall. The sheet appears to have been neatly extracted from a magazine. It is matted and framed, measuring 22-1/2" x 17-1/4". The autographs come with a letter from PSA/DNA.
