Although he is widely considered an Australian, Mel Gibson actually was born and raised in Peekskill, New York, where he lived before his father moved the family down under so that his sons would not be in danger of being sent to Vietnam. Ironically, Gibson, who continued to hone his acting skills when he arrived in Australia at the age of 12, would land a starring role as a soldier just a few decades later. To date, Gibson has nearly 40 feature films to his credit and Hal Moore's "We Were Soldiers" is one of his most recent bodies of work. This t-shirt and pair of size 32 Bugle Boy pants were worn by Gibson in the Paramount Pictures release. Both items grade NM-MT and show moderate use. They are accompanied by a COA signed by representatives from both Premiere Props and Icon Pictures.
