While he may be known to Generation X-ers as the voice of Chef on South Park, Isaac Hayes has been in the entertainment industry for more than three decades now. An actor, singer and composer, Hayes was recognized for his work in 1971 by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences when he received a Grammy Award for Best Instrumental Arrangement for the "Theme From Shaft." That very Grammy is being offered here, along with a plaque Hayes and Johnny Allen received from the Academy in recognition of the nomination. The Grammy has been professionally repaired, which is not obvious to the casual observer, and is now in excellent condition with just a few unobtrusive scratches to the wooden base. The gramophone that sits atop the base is gold-plated. The plaque is near-mint.
