This prototype ring is nearly identical to that which a player or team executive would have received following the Yankees' 1953 World Series victory. On the top face is the number "5," representative of their fifth consecutive World Championship, with a faux diamond mounted in the center. Around the top is "New York Yankees World Champions." On either shank is the year "1953" above the Yankees Top Hat logo. The inside band is stamped "10K" and the ring is size 10. The design for this ring is considered by many collectors to be one of the most visually pleasing to date.
