This jersey was manufactured for the New York Yankees for use by a player that had yet to be signed to the club. In the collar is a white felt patch reading "Extra" in blue chain stitch. On the left front tail is the "Spalding" manufacturers tag and adjacent is the size "44" tag. Below is the year "64" in blue chain stitch. On the inside left front tail is the wash tag with an adjacent flag tag reading "Set 1 1964." On the left front breast is the original Yankees interlocking blue felt "NY" logo. There has been a number change on the reverse and it now bears a "57" in blue felt. The jersey shows use and, with the exception of the number change, appears to have no alterations of any kind.
