No player to date can match Yogi Berra's resume when it comes to playing on fourteen pennant-winners and ten World Championship teams. In every season from 1948 to 1962, Berra was selected to the All-Star team. As Lawrence Peter Berra had a way with the bat, so does he have a way with words. His colorful expressions that got to the heart of things became known as "Yogi-isms." In the neck of this pinstripe jersey is a white label reading "Berra 80 2" which is done in blue chain stitch. The numbers denote the year and set number, respectively. On the left front tail is the "Wilson" label with the size "44." On the left breast is the "NY" logo and on the back is the coaches number "8." Both the logo and the number are made of blue tackle twill. There is a memorial armband on the left sleeve. The jersey shows wear and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
