The 1999 New York Yankees rolled through the regular season winning 98 games and met their familiar rivals, the Atlanta Braves, in the World Series. As usual the Yanks put on a mighty display winning the Championship in four straight games. As history will have it, Roger Clemens pitched a gem in game 4 winning the first Championship of his Hall of Fame career. This trophy represents the New York Yankees championship victory in 1999 and displays the glory and grandeur of going all the way. The trophy features a gold arc mounted on and rising majestically from a round black base. On the bottom of the arc is a silver baseball and atop the arc is a royal gold crown surrounded by an array of gold pillars topped by pennants representing all 30 major league teams. Embedded on the base are pins with the logos of the Yankees and their opponent in the Fall Classic, the San Diego Padres, and the trophy has a plaque reading "World Series Champions, New York Yankees" with the respective year. The trophy has tremendous eye-appeal and is near mint overall. It comes with a letter on team stationery.
