The gold nameplate on the outside of this brown RCA Victor case is a nice touch as it has been engraved "Elston Howard Toronto Maple Leafs International League Champions 1954," but what lies inside is even more impressive. When he was on that championship minor league team before moving up to play for the Yankees, Howard received this short wave radio and was thereby able to get transmissions from all sorts of major cities from around the world. Various city names show the user how to receive broadcasts coming from anywhere from Budapest to Johannesberg, creating a great display piece which is in excellent condition overall. The radio comes with a letter of authenticity from Howard's wife Arlene.
