The four police badges offered here were presented to Elston Howard to honor him at various points during his life. With these badges Howard became a Special Detective of Atlantic City, Special Deputy Sheriff of Fairfield County in Connecticut, Special Deputy Sheriff of Atlantic County in New Jersey, and Special Deputy Sheriff of Hudson County in New Jersey. The badges, which are in excellent condition overall, come with two cases in which Howard kept them. Included with the Hudson County badge is Howard's personal ID card from the Sheriff's Office. On the front of the card is Howard's personal information and thumb print along with a head shot of Howard, his signature, and the signature of the sheriff. Signatures of Howard and the sheriff also appear on the back of the card. The blue ink signatures each are 8s. The badges and ID card come with a letter of authenticity from Howard's wife Arlene. The autographs come with a letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA.
