This lot includes four 16"x20" photographs taken during Elston Howard's reign as a NY Yankee. One, taken in September of 1961, is in fair condition, with folds at the corners, a few tears and discoloration on the back. An undated photo of the team, has "FOTO BY REQUENA" written in white in the lower right corner. This photo shows a lot of wear, with folds down the middle and a large tear on the bottom. These two photos are slightly browned with age. The third photo, a sharp black and white team photo taken in September of 1960 is in good condition, with a few small folds and a small tear along the bottom. The fourth photo is in color, and is mounted on board. It is in good condition with a few tiny rips. These original photographs are hard to come by and are from Elston Howard's personal collection, accompanied by a letter from his wife Arlene.
