This 18" x 14" sterling silver platter was presented to Elston Howard on Elston Howard Day by his teammates.The platter is engraved 'With admiration and respect to Elston Howard Coach, New York Yankees on 'Elston Howard Day' Sponsored by Mt. Alvernia Interfaith Movement / Yankee Stadium June 27, 1971." The platter has been engraved with the names of all of his teammates, who presented the plaque to him. It has the blue and gold logo of the Mt. Alvernia Interfaith Movement as well as a logo of a baseball player. The plaque has scratches and is in very good condition. It comes with a letter of authenticity from Howard's wife Arlene.
