The 1977 season will be remembered by fans of the Yankees and other teams alike because of Reggie Jackson's remarkable three home runs in Game 6, which made him the MVP of the Series and won the title for New York. This Adirondack Big Stick bat was presented to Elston Howard for his role as a coach on that championship team and his name is engraved in the barrel. To the left of Howard's engraved name is a plaque which states "New York Yankees World Champions 1977 Defeated L.A. Dodgers Four Games to Two." The bat has very few apparent flaws and is in near mint condition. It comes with a letter of authenticity from Howard's wife Arlene.
