The 1987 World Series saw the Minnesota Twins come out on top of a tight seven-game series before a crowd of 55,376 fans at the Metrodome. Offered here are a pair of official 1987 World Series baseballs, one signed by the Twins and one by their opponents, the St. Louis Cardinals. The Twins ball is white and near mint to mint with 33 blue ink signatures including manager Tom Kelly on the sweet spot as well as Kirby Puckett, Kent Hrbek, Bert Blyleven, Frank Viola, etc. The players used two different blue ink pens to sign the ball, so about half rate between 8 and 10 while the other half have faded slightly and are between 6 and 8 in quality. The Cardinals ball is slightly off-white and is near mint with 32 signatures that are 6s and 7s. The signatures include Ozzie Smith, Vince Coleman, Willie McGee, coach Red Schoendienst, etc. The balls come with a letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA.
