A total of 23 players have signed this ball, with the signatures including 10 Hall of Famers. Topping the list are Babe Ruth. Mel Ott, Joe McCarthy, Ralph Kiner, Enos Slaughter, Ted Williams, Warren Spahn, Stan Musial, Johnny Mize, and Pee Wee Reese, joined by non-HOFers such as Billy Southworth, Bill Nicholson, John Sain, Charlie Grimm, Eddie Dyer, Pete Reiser, Wilber Cooper, Hugh Casey, Benny Bengough, etc. The signatures are done in a variety of inks, rating from 3 to 9 and averaging a 7. The black ink pen with which Ruth signed appears to have run dry of ink and the signature was completed in blue. The Ott suffered the same fate and may have been completed or enhanced in another hand. All considered, it remains a fantastic find and is highly desirable in that it bears the autographs of both Ruth and Ott. The ONL Frick ball displays a nice even tone. The autographs come with a letter from PSA/DNA.
