Rookie Ty Wigginton of the New York Mets had back to back magical nights starting on 5/12/03 against Colorado. On that night, Wigginton hit a bases-emptying triple to drive in three runs. The magic continued on the 13th when Wigginton stepped into the box with the bases loaded again. In the first inning Wigginton cleared the bases once again for his second bases loaded triple in the same amount of games. Offered are the two game-used bats from this rookie's incredible back to back nights. The uncracked bats have evidence of outstanding game use. The barrels have ball-hit, ball stitch, and blue/white ball transfer marks. One has a moderate coat of pine tar and the other a heavy coat. Both have his player number '9' written in silver marker on the knob and barrel end. Both bats have been autographed on the front barrel with the following inscriptions, "Bases Loaded 5/12/03 Triple vs. Colorado, Ty Wigginton" and "Bases Loaded Triple 5/13/03 vs. Colorado, Ty Wigginton." The signatures grade a 9 overall. Manufacturer: Hillerich & Bradsby, Model #: C243, Labeling Period: 2003, Length: 34 in, Weight: 32.5 oz, Wood: Ash, Finish: Black. The bats and autographs come with a letter from PSA/DNA.
