After an early career as a brash young starter, "The Eck" was reborn in Oakland as a dominating bullpen stopper. In the process he became the only player in Major League history to record 100 complete games and 200 saves. On the left front tail of this home knit jersey is the "Wilson" label with the size "42" and below this is the year tag "84," which has been done in black chain stitch. Across the front of the jersey is the team name "Red Sox" and on the back is the player number "43." Both the name and number are made of red on blue tackle twill. The jersey shows game use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
