With a .707 winning percentage, one can certainly make the case that Pedro Martinez is the most dominant pitcher in the game today. A three-time Cy Young Award winner, he is certainly on his way to Cooperstown. In 1998, Martinez joined the Boston Red Sox and continued to repeatedly dominate hitters. On the left front tail is the "Russell Athletic" manufacturer's tag with the size "48." Adjacent to this is a white patch reading "1999" along with the "100% Polyester" flag tag. Across the front of the jersey is the team name "Red Sox" in stylized lettering and on the back is the player number "45." All of the letters and numbers are done in red on blue tackle twill. On the left sleeve is the "99 Boston All-Star Game" patch. Pedro has signed the front in black marker rating a 9. The sleeves have been custom-cut.The jersey shows game use and with the exception of the custom-cut sleeves, appears to have no other alterations of any kind. The autograph comes with a letter from PSA/DNA.
