Gaylord Perry was the first pitcher to win the Cy Young Award in both leagues. In the neck of this home knit jersey is the "Wilson" label with the size "46." On the left front tail is the year tag "83" which is done in blue chain stitch. Across the front of the jersey is the name "Royals" in script-style letters and on the back is the name "Perry." The player number "36" appears on both the left breast and on the back of the jersey. The letters and numbers are made of blue tackle twill. On the left sleeve is the Royals patch and on the left front is an autograph. The autograph rates an 8 and comes with a letter from PSA/DNA. Along with the jersey is a cap. On the inside band are three labels. The first is the MLB label, the second is the "New Era" label, and the third is the size tag "7 1/2." On the inner brim is an autograph which rates an 8 and comes with a letter from PSA/DNA. On the top of the brim is the Royals embroidered patch. The cap comes with an additional label. The jersey and cap show game use and appear to have no alterations of any kind.
