A hometown hero who played his entire career for the Baltimore Orioles, Cal Ripken Jr. started 17 consecutive All-Star Games, hit more home runs than any shortstop in history, and owns the highest single-season fielding percentage for a shortstop. This Ripken Orioles home knit jersey is from the 1994 season. On the left front tail is the "Russell Athletic Diamond Collection" manufacturer's tag with the size "48." Below this are the "100% polyester" and a white tag with the printing "1994 1" to represent the year and set number, respectively. The team name "Orioles" is sewn across the front in script-style lettering and on the back is a white knit nameplate with the player name "Ripken" sewn on. The player number "8" appears on the left breast and on the back of the jersey. All the letters and numbers are made of orange on black tackle twill. On the right sleeve is the "125th Anniversary" MLB patch and below it is the embroidered "R" for Russell Athletic. The jersey shows game use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
