Already the Japanese all-time saves leader, Kazuhiro Sasaki set a rookie record with 37 saves for the Mariners in 2000. On the left front tail of this blue alternate jersey is the "Russell Athletic" label and below is the size tag "48." Next to this is the year tag "2001." Across the front of the jersey is the name "Mariners" in silver on a navy/teal tackle twill backing. On the back is a blue nameplate with the name "Sasaki" and below this is the player number "22." The letters and numbers are made of silver on a teal tackle twill backing. On the left sleeve is the "2001 All-Star Game" patch. The game was played in Seattle that year. The jersey shows game use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
