Wilbur Howard joined the Milwaukee Brewers in 1970 for the club's first spring training but failed to make the team. He would later join the club full-time in 1973. In the collar is an aqua blue patch reading "54 42" in blue chain stitch. This denotes player number and size, respectively. On the left front tail is the "Spalding" manufacturers tag and below this is the wash tag. Adjacent to this is the "Set 1 #8p 1970" flag tag. Across the front of the jersey is the team name "Brewers" and on the back is the player number "54." All of the letters and numbers are done in yellow on blue tackle twill. The jersey shows game use and appears to have no alterations of any kind. A fine example of this rare road style from the Brewers' first year in the big leagues.
