Red Schoendienst enjoyed success in professional baseball as both a player and manager. The jersey was used by him during the 1960 season and is one of the most beautifully constructed of the era. In the collar is a white patch reading "Schoendienst 60" in green chain stitch, denoting the player name and year. On the left front tail is a similar white patch reading "Schoendienst Set 2-1960" in the same green chain stitch. Below this is the "Wilson" manufacturer's tag with the size "42." Across the front of the jersey is the team name "Braves" stylized script lettering done in red on black felt. Below is the Tomahawk logo which is done in red and yellow embroidered stitch on black and gold felt. The player number "4" is underneath and also appears on the back. Both numbers are done in red on black felt. On the left sleeve is the embroidered Indian head patch. It has been signed in blue marker on the front. The jersey shows game use and appears to have no alterations of any kind. The autograph comes with a letter from PSA/DNA.
