For the first four years of his career, Javy Lopez was one of the finest all-around catchers in the game and became the second Braves catcher since Joe Torre to hit double-digit home runs in six consecutive seasons. On the left front tail is the "Wilson" exclusive label and adjacent is the size tag "44." Below this is the year tag "97," which is done in black embroidered stitch. Across the front of the jersey is the team name "Braves" in script-style letters made of red on blue tackle twill. Below this is the Braves "Tomahawk." On the back of the shirt is a white nameplate with the name "Lopez" in blue tackle twill and below this is the player number "8" which is made of red on blue tackle twill. On the right sleeve is the "Jackie Robinson 50th" anniversary patch. The jersey shows game use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
