One of the best control pitchers in history, Greg Maddux is an anomaly in an era of intimidating flamethrowers. With a fastball that might not hit 90 MPH even on a good day, the four-time Cy Young Award winner might have been the most dominant pitcher of the 1990s. On the left front tail of this 2002 Maddux Atlanta Braves home knit jersey is the "Russell Athletic Authentic Collection" manufacturer's tag and below it is a white label with "1-02" to represent the set number and year, respectively. To the left of the white label are the size tag reading "46 100% polyester" and a "+2" Extra Length" tag. The MLB patch is on the back of the neck and the Russell Athletic "R" is embroidered onto the left sleeve. The team name "Braves" is sewn across the front of the jersey in script-style lettering with the tomahawk logo and the player number "31" appears on the back. These letters and numbers are made of red on navy tackle twill, with the tomahawk patch having gold embroidery as well. On the back of the jersey is a white knit nameplate with the player name "Maddux" sewn on in navy tackle twill. The jersey shows game use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
