After the 1981 player strike, Tommy Lasorda's Dodgers defeated the Astros in the divisional playoff, beat the Expos in the LCS, and then crushed the Yankees with a power display in the World Series. In the neck of the jersey is the "Goodman" label, which includes the size "44." On the left front tail is the year tag "1981" and next to this is a label reading "Set A" which is done in blue embroidered stitch. Across the front of the shirt is the name "Dodgers" in script-style blue tackle twill letters and on the back is the name "Lasorda" in blue on white tackle twill. The player number "2" appears on both the left breast and the back of the jersey. The number on the front is made of red tackle twill and the number on the back is made of blue on white tackle twill. On the left sleeve is the "City of Los Angeles 200th Anniversary" patch. The jersey shows wear and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
