With the fledgling Mets in 1962-63, Roger Craig became the first pitcher to lead the NL in losses for two straight years (24 in 1962, 22 in 1963). He won two World Series games, one each with Brooklyn and St. Louis. In the neck of the jersey is the "Rawlings" label with the size "44." On the left front tail is "44 Craig 38" which is done in brown chain stitch. The numbers denote the size and player number, respectively. Below this is the wash tag and adjacent is the flag tag reading "Set 1 1970." Across the front of the jersey is the team name "Padres" and on the back is the player number "38." The letters and numbers are made of brown felt on a gold tackle twill backing. The jersey shows game use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
