At times in his career, Cesar Cedeno played the game of baseball so well that Hall of Fame manager Leo Durocher is said to have called him "the next Willie Mays." During the 1974 season, he played in the All-Star Game and was awarded a Gold Glove. In the collar is the "Wilson" manufacturer's tag with the size "42." On the left front tail is a small white patch with the year "74" in black stitch. Across the front of the jersey is the team name "Astros" and the shooting star logo. This is done in a beautiful embroidered chain stitch with a level of workmanship that is rarely seen. On the back is the player number "28" in orange on blue tackle twill. The jersey shows game use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
