Legendary Dodger manager Walt Alston added to his warehouse-sized collection of awards and trophies when he was presented with this sterling silver serving tray, emblematic of the Judge Emile Fuchs Memorial Award, by the Boston chapter of the BBWAA on January 27, 1966, three months after his team defeated the Minnesota Twins in six games in the World Series. The gold-tinted tray measures 20" x 25" and is embroidered with a detailed design on the surface, edges and handles. The inscription in the center of the tray reads, "To Walter Alston, manager of the Los Angeles Dodgers, in recognition of his fourth World Series triumph in 1965." The condition of the surface of the tray is excellent, while the underside has scratches.
