Mickey Mantle was responsible for some of the more vulgar and profane inscriptions to grace the autograph hobby, but the item offered here exhibits a far more caring side of Mantle. Mantle gave this exact Mother's Day card to his mother one year and wrote inside in blue ink, "I love you Mom. Mickey" with the signature and inscription rating a near 10. With its trademark Mantle M's, the inscription is truly breathtaking and shows Mantle on a very personal level. The card is near mint and comes with a copy of the letter of authenticity from Mantle's sister Barbara Mantle DeLise, who received the card when her and Mickey's mother passed it down to her.
