Walt Dropo was the strong silent type who preferred to display power above all. In 1950, he was named American League's Rookie of the Year and the following season he split his time between the Major Leagues and the Pacific Coast League. Offered is Dropo's jersey from the San Diego Padres of the PCL. In the collar is the "Rawlings" manufacturer's tag. Adjacent to this are the size "44" and wash tags. On the left front tail is the year "51" in blue chain stitch. Across the front of the jersey is the team name "Padres" and on the back is the player number "35." All of the letters and numbers are done in blue felt. Accompanying the jersey is a Padres scorecard from that season in VG condition, scored on July 19, which lists him wearing that number. The jersey shows game use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
