This 20" x 30" half sheet WWI poster by the great American illustrator J.C. Leyendecker is in near mint to mint condition. The poster urges Americans to use coal as a source of fuel to preserve oil and gasoline for the war effort. It portrays a horse-drawn cart with a worker shoveling coal from the cart. "Order Coal Now" is the patriotic message being delivered. Leyendecker created very few war posters and they are hard to come by.
