The first photo is of the famous album cover that was not posed and occurred strictly by accident. Diltz and the band went into the hotel requesting permission to take some photographs. They were denied, but spotted the front desk clerk stepping out into an elevator. They quickly ran back in, hitting the marks pictured and shot one roll of film. This classic album cover was the result. The second was taken outside a skid row bar that later became the brainstorm for the Hard Rock Cafe. A variation of this photo became the back cover of the "Morrison Hotel" album. The third shot was taken just outside the bar showing Morrison with some of the regulars.
