The argument rages on: Which superhero has the greatest powers, Superman or Batman? While the most famous residents of Metropolis and Gotham, respectively, usually join forces to battle evil on the pages of World's Finest Comics, occasionally their competitive natures get the best of them. In issue #21 (March/April 1946) from the Golden Age of comics, the playful cover shows the two caped heroes going up for a "jump ball" with Robin serving as the referee who tosses the basketball. The comic book is slabbed and graded VG+ 4.5 by CGC. Issue #25 (Nov/Dec 1946) features the superheroes with much more intense expressions as they compete in a heated game of tennis. Again Robin is shown as the arbiter in the umpire's chair with a bat umbrella over his head. This book is also slabbed and graded FINE + 6.5 by CGC. Both issues feature a Brunley cover with art by Mortimer.
