Civil rights activist and Nobel Prize winner Martin Luther King, Jr. was one of the principal leaders of the American civil rights movement and a prominent advocate of nonviolent protest. This original copy of King's 1958 book, "Stride Toward Freedom", has been signed on the first page, "Best Wishes, Martin Luther King, Jr." This book gives a full account of "The Montgomery Story", in which the non-violent resistance King preached successfully resulted in a Supreme Court ruling in his favor. The 230-page book is in very good condition with a slight tear on the back cover and wear on the edges. King's signature rates an 8 and comes with a letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA.
